Korkia promotes Lorena Barría to Investment Director

Lorena Barría has been promoted to Investment Director, stepping into a new role from finance to the core renewable energy business at Korkia. Lorena will be managing Korkia’s Chilean development companies as part of the Portfolio Investment team, while continuing to provide support to Group Financing regarding Chile.

Lorena joined Korkia in 2022 as Chief Financial Officer for LatAm operations, where she has been instrumental in building financial discipline and supporting the development of our business in the region. She has been an active participant on the board of one of Korkia’s Chilean development companies since its establishment and is now also joining the Board of Korkia Solar Ray.

“This promotion means growth — both professional and personal. I’m excited to move closer to the core of Korkia’s business, engaging more directly with our development companies and the day-to-day reality of our projects. It’s a role that lets me see the business through multiple lenses at once: financial, legal, commercial and operational, while also continuing to support the finance team on Chile-related matters,” Lorena describes.

The promotion is a natural next step following Lorena’s participation in the Women in Energy leadership program by World Energy Council Chile. The 7-month program, which took place in Santiago de Chile during 2025, brought together 67 professionals across the Chilean energy sector and focused on three pillars: systemic leadership, personal leadership, and leadership with others. Through expert-led sessions, coaching, and peer dialogue, participants explored frameworks and built a network of women advancing the energy transition across Chile.
