Korkia awarded again in the SFR Institutional Investment Services Programme – Praised for expertise in sustainable energy investing

Korkia has won the ESG Excellence Award in the Specialist category in the latest SFR Institutional Investment Services Programme. The survey highlighted Korkia’s strong expertise in renewable energy and its proactive client engagement. Korkia maintained its position as one of the most utilized infrastructure operators, with the company’s local presence in target markets standing out as a competitive advantage. 

The ESG Excellence Award underscores Korkia’s success in integrating ESG into its asset management practices. The company also received high ratings for its reporting services and the clarity of its investment process.

According to the survey, as many as 43% of institutional investors plan to increase their infrastructure investments. Similar interest was observed in last year’s survey, and the trend appears to be continuing. Many investors are particularly focused on renewable energy and infrastructure that supports the green transition.

Out of the different renewable energy sources, solar power was seen as the most attractive investment opportunity. The much-discussed hydrogen economy has yet to convince respondents; most view hydrogen with cautious optimism, considering it still an investment opportunity for the future. 

The SFR Institutional Investment Survey is an annual comprehensive study of institutional asset management, exploring the experiences of Finnish institutional investors with asset managers, their investment plans, and evaluating asset management companies against various quality criteria on a scale of 1–5. Participants include insurance companies, foundations, and pension institutions. The survey is conducted by Scandinavian Financial Research.
