Korkia’s renewable energy project portfolio has grown rapidly and the pipeline is already over 18 gigawatts,” says Korkia’s CEO Pauli Mäenpää.

“It is natural that the change in our business is also reflected in the composition of our Board of Directors. The new Chairman of our Board Martti Malmivirta is one of Korkia’s founders and he has been a member of Korkia’s Board of Directors since 2017. It is great to continue our cooperation with Martti and the other Board members,” Mäenpää continues.

“At the same time, I would like to thank Timo Leino, Jari Pirinen and Pertti Nurmio, who are leaving the Board of Directors, for their hard work and valuable contribution in Korkia’s great growth path over the years. Their role in the growth and development of our company has been significant.”

The work of Korkia’s board is further supported by two advisors, Juha Sarsama and Ante Razmilovic. Sarsama is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience in private equity and leading growth companies. Currently, he serves as the CEO of Everon, and from 2020 to 2023, he was the CEO of Ilmatar, guiding its growth and development into an independent power producer (IPP). Razmilovic, on the other hand, has over 30 years of experience in international finance. He has previously worked at Credit Suisse First Boston and Goldman Sachs, and he holds a degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College London.

“Both have extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, and together with Korkia’s board, they will help steer the company through its next growth phase,” says Mäenpää.
