Auringosta Energiaa (in Engl. Energy from the Sun) coalition has won a Finnish Comms Award in the category of Public affairs and influential communication.
The Auringosta Energiaa (in Engl. Energy from the Sun) coalition of industrial solar power developers operating in Finland was formed by Korkia early 2023 to promote the development of industrial solar power in Finland. Its purpose is to increase fact-based knowledge of the sector and highlight bottlenecks and opportunities related to solar power development.
“A textbook case of building thought leadership from scratch. The project demonstrates how communication has the power to move mountains and build bridges. Thanks to the coalition, solar power developers have gained a bigger voice in the fast-growing industry.“
“We are excited and grateful for this recognition. It is rewarding to see how our hard work has paid off and the understanding and interest towards industrial scale solar energy is on the rise in Finland as well. Energy from the Sun coalition has started an active dialogue between public administration and industrial solar power developers. This is necessary as during the following 10 years solar energy can account for a large share of Finland’s renewable energy needs alongside wind power. Worldwide solar power is already overwhelmingly the fastest growing and cheapest form of energy,” comments Martti Malmivirta, Member of the Board at Korkia and an active spokesperson of Energy from the Sun coalition.
Auringosta Energiaa (in Engl. Energy from the Sun) Coalition is the collective voice of Finnish industrial-scale solar energy developers representing the industry. The coalition is organized by Pohjoisranta BCW. Read more about what the coalition does.
