Q1: What in particular made you apply for a Korkia position?

Korkia’s strong position in sustainable business and its global market presence sparked my interest in the organization, prompting me to seize the opportunity. My studies have focused on environmental law, which made Korkia appear as a natural enabler of sustainability. Korkia offered an international and very intriguing position within the legal team, and I was eager to take on this opportunity. Korkia’s commitment to innovation and sustainability aligns perfectly with my own professional values and my academic focus on the intersection of law and environmental sustainability. I am eager to contribute to a company that not only values sustainable development but actively seeks to implement it in markets around the world, thereby making a tangible impact on global environmental challenges.

Q2: What goals and expectations do you have regarding your new job?

In my new position as Legal Trainee at Korkia, I am looking to leverage my background in both public administration and law to contribute meaningfully to the company’s sustainability initiatives. I expect to work on projects where I can apply legal frameworks to promote and enforce sustainable practices within the industry. Furthermore, I hope to grow professionally by gaining hands-on experience in international legal contexts, thereby enhancing my ability to handle complex legal issues in global markets. This role is an excellent opportunity to integrate my passion for sustainability with my career in law.

Q3: What energizes you in your free time?

In my free time, I find energy and inspiration in activities that allow me to connect with nature and pursue interests outside of work and academics. Spending time outdoors and being in nature always provides me with a sense of peace and perspective. I also enjoy sports a lot. In the summer, I go running and play tennis a lot, and when winter arrives, I glide through the stunning Lapland landscapes on skis.
