Korkia’s strong expertise in renewable energy investing received recognition from clients in the Institutional Investment Services survey

Korkia’s focus and deep expertise in energy and infrastructure investments once again stood out as a significant strength in SFR Research’s 2025 Institutional Investment Services survey.

Korkia’s focus and deep expertise in energy and infrastructure investments once again stood out as a significant strength in the 2025 Institutional Investment Services survey conducted by SFR Research. We warmly thank the clients who responded to the survey and congratulate all asset managers awarded across the various categories.

This year, Korkia ranked second in the survey’s Specialist group. Specialist service providers in the survey sample focus on selected specific asset classes. In previous years, Korkia has been recognised, among other things, for excellent renewable energy expertise (ESG Excellence Award, Specialist group, 2024) as well as for client satisfaction and sector-specific expertise (SFR Award and Responsible Investment Award 2023).

It is great to receive such positive feedback, particularly for our expertise in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Our focus on renewable energy investing has enabled us to build a globally diversified portfolio, and clients’ recognition of its importance as our competitive advantage is an important message to us,” says Jussi Lilja, Executive Vice President responsible for Fundraising and Client Relations at Korkia.

Around a quarter of the institutions that responded to the survey said they are considering increasing their allocations to infrastructure, and this interest reflects the sector’s long-term growth potential among investors. Korkia also received praise from clients for fast capital rotation. The 5+2-year life cycle of Korkia’s funds is clearly shorter than the typical 10-year or even longer life cycle of infrastructure investments.

We greatly value the feedback we have received and the open comments in the survey. In addition to praise, we also received valuable improvement suggestions that help us plan our operations and further strengthen our client collaboration,” Lilja concludes.

The Institutional Investment Services survey conducted by Scandinavian Financial Research is a broad in-depth interview study that has been carried out since 2000. Around 100 of Finland’s most significant institutional investors participate in the survey each year, and it examines investors’ allocation decisions, the use of different investment instruments, the selection of asset managers, and experiences of the results and quality of work delivered by different service providers.
